I started Malafeef in 1993, with a single shop in Iraq offering handmade gifts and accessories for special events. The business grew and in a few years I had expanded to three stores in the region. But with the war raging on, my family and I reluctantly closed that chapter of our lives and began a new chapter. Twenty-six years later, we are now based in Detroit serving the region and beyond.
